The visual identity was designed based on characteristics of an eclipse while embody the craft and characterful essence of one of the world’s leading special effects artist.
Where vision becomes life. Full Eclipse was the forthcoming character creation studio of Hollywood’s leading special effects makeup artist, Mario Torres. Thirst, led by Rick Valicenti and Nick Adam, was brought on to design a visual identity that embodied the craft and characterful essence of the practice. This identity system includes multiple sound and motion expressions, a website, environmental graphics, and custom furniture.
Over the last 25 years, Mario has worked at almost every makeup effects studio in Hollywood. Some of his more recent work has been featured in films like Avengers: Infinity War, Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape Of Water, Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, and the currently in production Avatar 2.
