
McCORMICK FOUNDATION’S FREEDOM EXPRESS MOBILE MUSEUM
The Freedom Express was a mobile museum created and supported by The Robert R. McCormick Foundation’s Civics mission: to strengthen the civic education systemto better facilitate informed and effective lifelong civic engagement in Chicagoland. The 45-foot traveling museum visited schools within Chicagoland counties to teach students about the five First Amendment freedoms: the freedom of religion, speech, press, petition and assembly.
